WE ARE ALL OF EQUAL VALUE TO GOD BUT WE ARE NOT ALL OF EQUAL IMPORTANCE TO HIM

WE ARE ALL OF EQUAL VALUE TO GOD BUT WE ARE NOT ALL OF EQUAL IMPORTANCE TO HIM

1 Corinthians 3:11-13
states that, "[11]For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
[12]But if anyone builds upon the Foundation, whether it be with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,
[13]The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done."

We are all equally valuable to God, but we don't all have the same level of importance to God. Jesus paid for all of us the same because we all have the same value before God but our importance is not the same and it is not measured by the way men think. Some people are very important to God but some are not very important.
What is the level of your importance to God? Is it like that of gold or that of silver? Or is it of precious stones or wood? How important are you to God? Is it like hay or straw? You will decide whether you are going to be important to God or not.

There's a difference between value and importance.
You can pay alot for something but that doesn't mean it is very important to you.
For example, your shoes may be more expensive than your phone, but your phone is more important to you than those shoes. If you lost your shoes, you wouldn't care as much as if you would have lost your phone. If you lost your phone, you'd be out looking everywhere for it.
Another example; Is from the book of Job chapter 1 when satan tempted Job, why did God tell satan not to touch the life of Job but didn't tell him not to touch the lives of his children also? And nothing was wrong with his children. They didn't do anything wrong. On top of that, Job their father loved God so much such that he always offered sacrifices for their sins, even for the wrongs he didn't know. Why didn't God stop satan from touching Job's children as He did to job himself? And they were all killed just like that.
So Job was so important to God, what happened to the children?
Everyday you hear, 500 people killed, 230 people drown in water, staggering numbers of people dying everyday, sadly, including christians! If men are this expendable to life, why should you live?
And you don't have to be dead for God to prove that you are not important. There are people who live in this world for even 100 years and above, but the only reason why they are still alive is for the ecosystem to be balanced. You see a very old person, he does nothing for God's kingdom, he does nothing for his home, and still God allows him to be there alive for the benefit of the ecosystem.....what a life!
That's why if you study Exodus 23:29-31, there is one time God said to Moses when they moved out of Egypt and they headed to the promised land, God told Moses that He will not let them take over all the land of Canaan at once and drive away their adversaries all at once, but He is going to let them possess the land gradually, otherwise, the beast of the field will multiply against them. So there had to be a balance of the ecosystem. Even though God was going to destroy those Canaanites, the only reason He left them was to tame some of the animals and stopping the forest from advancing. God said He would destroy them gradually for the Israelites to take over their land, so that the beast of the field will not multiply against the Israelites. That was the only reason why the Canaanites were kept alive.

This means there are people in this world, no matter what happens to them, God is not bothered. He doesn't get their attention.
Look at all pharaoh's soldiers that perished in the water. That was the best army in the world with the most intelligent people in those days, but it meant nothing to God. They all perished in one day and God was unmoved by their memories and importance in Egypt(Exodus 14 and 15).
If you study the book of Genesis from chapter 6 onwards, God destroyed the whole world with water and left only the family of Noah, the man who always cherished the heart of God.
There are people who are just passers by in this world.

You are the one to decide how important you want to be God
