THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KNOWING THE HOLYSPIRIT AND KNOWING ABOUT THE HOLYSPIRIT.

John 14:17 states that, "The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you."

Many people in the world today, interestingly enough, even in churches, get to know about the HolySpirit because of His religious reputation. But that's not the same with knowing Him personally.
Some only know the HolySpirit of what He is rather than who He is.
Knowing Him personally is only possible if you already have a divine connection with Him because He is the only one who can reveal Himself to you.
One of Jesus' implications is that it is actually possible to see the Person of the HolySpirit with the eyes of your spirit as a means of getting to know Him deeper when He said in John 14:17 that, "The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him......."

Knowing the HolySpirit of love is spending time personally with Him in His presence to get to know Him. If you get to know the HolySpirit, you find out what He is like by spending time in fellowship with Him.

Knowing about the HolySpirit is hearing and reading from the teachings and preachings of His word. This is because of the reputation that precedes Him.

You can only know the HolySpirit by revelations, but knowing of the HolySpirit or about the HolySpirit is a second hand account which doesn't necessarily require revelations.

One of the ways to develop being personally familiar with Him is through prayerly meditation. Prayerly meditation involves asking Him questions for the purpose of extending your conversation with Him and actively listening to the answers He gives you. Get connected on the things of the spiritual world He specifically wants of you and be sensitive to how He responds to them from the spiritual dimension.
Therefore talk to Him on the things you're passionate about. The HolySpirit of love will reveal to you the things that touch Him the most through the things that touch you the most.

You can know about angels without the HolySpirit but you cannot know angels in person if you don't know the HolySpirit in Person. The quantity of quality revelations you get in knowing God's Spirit of love determines how far you can go with His teaching and training ministry to unlimit the function of spiritual senses and spiritual sensations.
