How exactly does demons cause someone to sin?
Demons don't force you to sin. All they do is develop in you the consciousness of sin through the knowledge of sin.
Sin consciousness makes you feel there are small things you can pray and God will answer, but there are big things that you will pray and God will not answer because you are too sinful to receive such answers.
Sin consciousness makes you feel that there are sins if you ask for forgiveness from God He will not forgive you immediately until you pray again and again. In the contrary, if you asked God for forgiveness, He forgives you immediately and He forgets it, and He sees you as though you never committed any sin.
The next time you come to remind Him to forgive you about the very sin you already asked for forgiveness, He doesn't know what you're talking about.
So many christians will go to hell, not exactly because of sin, but because of their sin consciousness.
Demons are forces of darkness and the human spirit is a force of light because of the nature of the word it has.
Demons may appear as people with faces in the spiritual world, but sometimes, they appear as shapeless forces.
Many of them appear to be black in colour. Without prayerly meditation, they can easily slow your ability to process the word of God and understand it.
Some have got a colour like that of human skin. One of the things they do is to cause you to focus on the things you can see rather than the things you cannot see, so that they can destroy your sense of judgement on the word.
These spirits are also the cause of fear and unbelief.

Whatever kind of speciallisation evil spirits have in terms of their varieties, they have several goals that they all share in common. And so the activities they do against mankind are similar but not necessarily the same.

On the other hand, one can see angels if he can acknowledge their presence. And you can only acknowledge their presence through your spiritual sensations. These helps you to sense their presence and what they're doing, which in the process, you begin seeing them and how they do what they do.
Through the HolySpirit of love, angels can induce strength to your spirit. They can also help you see and expand the glory around you.
