ARE YOU WAITING ON GOD OR IS GOD WAITING ON YOU?

ARE YOU WAITING ON GOD OR IS GOD WAITING ON YOU?

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem ( Daniel 9:2).
The Bible tells us that Daniel understood by the books of Jeremiah, the Prophet, the timing of Israel’s deliverance. He discovered that the set time to favour Israel had come, but he also knew he had a role to play in bringing God’s desire to reality. Thus, he began to pray. He said, “…I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession…” (Daniel 9:3-4).
This shows that just because God has planned something doesn’t mean it’ll come to pass; you have to know and play your part. There’re people who say, “If God has planned it, it’ll happen. If it’s the will of God, it’ll come to pass.” Such people are ignorant of God’s Word and His ways of doing things. Always, there’s a God-ward part, and there’s a man-ward part. The Bible says He’s given the earth to the children of men to run (Psalm 115:16).
What God does is to show you His plan, to show you His will. As you study the Word, you learn about His will, and find out about His principles, and how the Kingdom functions. Then you make His will come to pass by applying those principles learnt.
How marvellous it is to operate from God's kingdom!!
